Long covid brain fog (BBC radio program)

Just listened to a BBC podcast about the brain fog associated with Long Covid. They didn't mention the similarity to ME brain fog but did look at the similarity to chemo-brain (brain fog ass'd with chemotherapy). Using mice models, researchers found that the viral infection (and chemo treatment) increased cytokine and chemokine levels in the brain, which decreased effectiveness of glial cells and was associated with less neuron development in hippocampus (area of brain associated with memory).
