Good morning and Happy New Year of the Tiger,
A year for good luck, bravery and well being. Let's hope!
It is a Water Tiger which (I read) is calm and intelligent.
Just what I need!Best wishes all
-
@dot Yay, bring on the tiger. Itβs February already.
-
@dot Yay fresh thread! That's interesting about the Tiger. I'd like some wellbeing
-
Good morning all you valiant people,
Another day of weather in my comfort zone. Hooray!
Thinking of @river in their new home. I do hope everything went well yesterday and you found your bed and got some good sleep.
And @artist55 waking up after a day in the classroom. Was it any easier?Cheers @Glimmer and @emsarah Oh for wellbeing all round.
Best wishes everyone, grab a cuppa if you can, and come and tell us how your day is. Is there anyone who isn't in their pyjamas?
-
@dot the cooler weather is amazing, such a relief.
I hope @river is having a huge rest after the move.
I just changed from PJ's to trackies, they feel cosy on this cooler day. Second day of new medication, second day back in bed because I keep crashing when I'm in the lounge. Got a huge headache. Feel sad today. Sad it's all the the same nothing every day. Sad to be missing from the world. Bit of a downer for the chatty thread!
Maybe I'll go do the Wordle.
-
@emsarah Sending you happy wishes. Hope they work. And I hope that headache eases off soon.
Iβm in my cosy trackkies too. π₯± -
@glimmer aw thanks
sending them back to you. How is your head today?
-
@emsarah So far so good! Thanks for asking. The energy bank and jelly legs need working on though.
-
@glimmer argh the jelly legs is so horrible

Hi all,
Being back at work has been kicking my butt! and so I havenβt managed to be here as much as I wanted to. Iβm still working on balancing it all really, if that is even a thingI think I am doing better, at least for today, for this moment I am doing better.
@river I hope today is a day where you can melt into the sofa or bed for a while after yesterdays big move, and leave the unpacking for later.
@emsarah, I hope your head ache fades quickly and that your trackies are super soft and cosy (the best kind of trackies) Iβm half pjs and half hoody at the moment.
@Glimmer, jelly legs are unpleasant so hoping they pass quickly for you today.
@dot, thank you for greeting everyone everyday. Your posts are such a comfort to read as you send your warm wishes to everyone each day. I am glad the weather is cooler where you are and sitting in a more comfortable temp range.
@artist55, i have been trying to get the work rest balance right these last few weeks and to read that you are managing full days of work is very inspiring for me and makes me feel more optimistic for my future. I hope you managed a good evening after a long school day.
Itβs cuppa time for now, herbal tea tastyβ¦ π« but not the same a a nice hot cup of coffee. Maybe Iβll try coffee tomorrow and see how I go.
Thinking of you all, wishing good days all around!
-
@nat thanks
so good to hear you are managing in this moment with work!
Do you go ok with decaf coffee by any chance? I have found a few brands that are nice because I am pretty sensitive to caffeine! -
Hey February
Hey fellow meepsNot a great start for me. Was up all night with anxiety about new gp appointment today. 20 mins before the call the receptionist calls me telling me the canβt do the telehealth b/c the dr isnβt set up for it.
I made this appointment 2 weeks ago and we spoke about it being telehealth over the phone in length.
Now i have to wait another two weeks.
Anyway not feeling good now b/c only had 2hrs or so sleep
-
@coco Grrrr how annoying for you. Hope you catch up on a few zeds tonight.
-
@glimmer thank you
Me too
-
@coco argh! The same thing happened to me! Was told it was going to be video, will send a link etc and then no warning, it's just a phone call which meant it could only be a short appointment. So much anxiety trying to set up for it.
That's so poor only telling you today, not good enough. hope you get some better sleep tonight. -
@nat @Dot thank you. Yesterday was okay. Most of the children were well behaved and they all worked together on a group project
I lay down under my desk for 20 minutes at lunchtime and that helped me through the day. Then a big book fell off the shelf and landed on my poor foot - I saw stars
οΈ
οΈThere is a lovely colourful bruise as a souvenir.
There was some payback today so not much got done but after tomorrow the weekend is just around the corner.
Wishing you all good health and happy moments
-
@artist55 Ouch your poor foot. Hope it recovers as well as yourself. π₯°

Good morning,
Another precious day. Wake up. Feel which parts of you ache, which parts of you creak, where your energy-ometer is sitting. Wonder if a coffee will help.Very impressed at the people who managed to get out of pjs and into tracky daks yesterday. And omg, medals for anyone who got into work clothes
@emsarah More cool day bliss for me today too. Awful to have such a bad headache, I hope it isn't as bad today - no, I really hope it is gone and never comes back
Also hoping that today might have a little bit of something in it. (Hooray for wordle).@Glimmer I hope the jelly legs have found their bones this morning.
@Nat Why is work always so ME/CFS unfriendly? Sigh. Balance is a wonderful aim, rarely accomplished. Hope you get close today!
A little bit of 'doing better, at least for today' is such a triumph. Long may it continue.I hope you might be able to enjoy a delicious coffee today.
Are you like me and find you need to have had a few other drinks and something to eat first, to avoid it sitting badly on tummy and brain?@coco It is a particularly nasty rule of the universe that everything we need to do has to get complicated and fall apart at least once.
Did you manage some better sleep last night? I do hope so.@artist55 Yay for kids working together and being able to rest under the desk. Ouch for that foot though!
Fingers crossed today goes easily.
My experience with that particularly nasty rule of the universe happened yesterday when I needed to get a script filled. (Needed a rave on the vent thread but I was too tired to write.)
Short version: Had to get out of my pjs! 4 different chemists. Standing in queue, queue, queue, queue. Wanting to sob and collapse by the final one but holding myself together since they had kindly held back their last packet for me.
Finally got to the car wondering how I would manage to drive home safely, when the security guard came out and asked to see my receipt, which I couldn't find as I had put it with the medication in the cold pack envelope.
(Finally found it, security guard was a sweetie, got home safely. Recovery today.)Let's hope the nasty rule of the universe left @river alone for once and gives us all a break today!
Cheers all
(in my pyjamas with a lovely warm dressing gown on)
-
@dot I could feel that horrible-ness when reading about all that queueing you did yesterday. You must have been so pleased to finally get back to the safety of your home. Hope youβre able to have a full rest and recovery day today.
Another headache has made it to the top of my symptoms list this morning, then followed by the usual.
So Iβm also in my PJβs and warm dressing gown! -
@dot Headache is gone for the moment! So grateful!
Your pharmacy saga sounded horribleοΈ
I did the Wordle in 4 today
