Keto for MeCfs?
Has anyone tried the Keto diet for MECFS?
How did you go?

@coco I am playing with it, I easily put weight on because I am so sedentary, and a comfort eater. Bad combination. Cutting out sugar and doing the 5:2 fasting got me down to a healthy weight, but I am finding I need to be more keto-ish to stay there.
So helpful for weight loss, and being a healthy weight helps me manage my CFS, but no sign that keto helps ME/CFS itself.

I often see people in my support groups saying that keto diets are dangerous for people with CFS. They are not doctors, and I don't know where they are getting the idea, but I thought it would be worth mentioning in case there is some medical research or even just common sense to back it up - maybe worth looking into before starting a keto diet if it's something you're thinking of trying?
Thanks @river, i’ll look into it a bit more. Seems to have more potential benefits than risks.
Thanks for sharing your experience. Im glad it is helping you with your weight.
For me my weight it ok (actually have been losing weight but as usual my dr dismisses it).
For me i’m more interested in the potential nutrition, healing and ATP aspects. Its helping me eat much more healthily for now anyway (havent gone full blown keto yet but trying it on slowly)
