@Dot Nice to have you back. . It’s interesting isn’t it comparing the lockdowns to our own. We’re old hands at it.
It is the weekend (quite understandable if you didn't realise )
Yes ME/CFSers, we are lockdown experts. (Not by choice.)
Well today I am planning to do all the best things: drink lots of water, do my stretches, potter around, eat good food, that sort of thing.
Hoping you all have a reasonable day with some useful pottering around and don't eat too much rubbish
I don't think I am going to see any sun today, but I will try to poke my nose out when it isn't raining.
Best wishes to everyone
@Dot Your day sounds the same as mine! We have blue sky and sunshine here, but it’s a bit breezy so I won’t go outside. Cool wind gives me earaches and affects my balance. .
@Dot Glad you are up and about and that you got your glasses back! I hope the rain stays away long enough for you to get out a bit.
@Glimmer Its not too windy here, just rainy, but I don’t mind it️
This weekend is for resting before schools reopen on Monday. I hope you all have a restful weekend too
How is your Sunday?
I've sent too much of the morning sitting at the computer playing my favourite computer game (Wizard101).
Not good for me. I'm best with a gentle mix of sitting, lying down and pottering around. Not too long at any of them.
Never too late to start doing the good things. I'm off to slowly, one step at a time, make a good pot of chicken and vegetable soup. Just what I need.
@artist55 I do hope you have been able to restore yourself a little, ready for school tomorrow. Sending good wishes.
@Glimmer the littlest wind or cold just seems to find its way in, doesn't it. But extra scary that it effects your balance. I hope today is a snug day.
PS I did do the waterworks dungeon in Wizard101 and made a doubledecker garden. Some sort of triumph
Hoping you all get some sort of triumph today!
@artist55 I came back to say, I hope you can get a doctor's certificate for more days rest, if you are not well enough for school tomorrow.
@Dot Thank you I have done very little today but rest, so hopefully tomorrow will be okay. Luckily there are no children until Wednesday so that will make it much easier to take a break when needed. I hope everyone has a great week
Cold and grey in my part of Melbourne. Cautiously optimistic about Victoria's covid numbers. Fingers crossed for NSW too.
Thinking of you @artist55 traipsing off to the Art Room. Hoping you have a bean bag, a pillow and a thermos set up in that dark corner of the storeroom and a sign saying 'Back in an hour' to hang on the Art Room door.
Sending good wishes to everyone. A medal for getting up and checking the forums. A medal even for checking them before you get up!
My word to describe my health today
What is yours?
@Dot Hovering. My body is still deciding.
I managed to get a few life admin tasks out the way but I've only just finished and I started at 9am. Its now about 4:30pm!! Slow as a snail today. That groggy feeling is just yuk @Dot ...hope it buggers off for you. I feel for you @artist55: hope your day hasn't been too exhausting. @Glimmer hovering: sounds very familiar... hope your hovering had an upswing and not a downslide! Enjoy your evening everyone...: nerd_face:
Hmm even groggier today, with the groggy kind of dull pain, but ok.
Ha @Glimmer I can relate to 'hovering'.
@crashdummy Isn't it extraordinary how much energy admin tasks take!
I'm off to get my second vaccination and to buy some veggies (woot!). And then rest.
Sending out good wishes to everyone. I hope you can find some precious moments in this day.
Hello groggy, hovering and adminy people @Dot @crashdummy @Glimmer from one very, very tired donkey. How I wish I had a storeroom to hide in, Dot but alas my art room is a demountable on the edge of the playground. Imagine how peaceful it is with balls being kicked against the walls in lieu of ‘goals’ I’ve pushed through the first 3 days of term and just wanted to check in with you all in the hopes that you have picked up a bit.
Saturday morning (I think, the week has been a blur),
I woke up to clear skies, so beautiful. But it is back to grey.
Hoping everyone is going okay, what is happening at your place?
@artist55 Hooray for days when you can rest. I do hope the week went easily.
I've had a hard week. I had to do too much too fast. But my brain and body are just about creaking back into action.
Sending lots of good wishes to everyone, especially those of you who have had to do too much or too fast. Can it be an easy weekend?
@Dot I’m sorry you had a tough week and hope you will be back on track soon! It’s rainy and cold in WA so my plan is to to read, relax and build up reserves for next week Stay warm.
@Dot It’s a lovely sunny day here with blue skies. If only I could go for a walk or do some gardening …… ️
Morning everyone. Nice to hear @Glimmer that you have blue skies. Perhaps just sitting in the sun for a while absorbing that precious vitamin d will lift your spirit. So cold and dreary here. I just put a huge log on the fire and hoping the house will heat up soon; there is no way I am going to get started for the day if I'm cold. Everyone here is anxious for lockdown to end. Regional isolation, ME isolation and lockdown isolation .... I feel like I've got the time but no energy. I wish I could snap out of the gloom and get motivated. had a laugh @Dot at the new cat saga on the block...looking forward to updates. @artist55 Sounds like you have a plan for weekend...nothing like a good book. Maybe comfort food is on the menu for us here today.... another soup weekend ...
Yes it was a hard week and still I'm foggy, hence forgetting about the nice new 'last half of July' thread I started. I will give up and try again at the start of August.
@artist55 Yay for reading, relaxing and building up reserves.
@Glimmer Oh dear I can relate to looking outside and seeing all those things we wish we could do.
I did manage about 2 1/2 minutes sitting in the sun yesterday. Today I will just be glad to be out of the snow
My house is a PIGSTY but I am working on that 'three little things' put away every time I stand up, and hoping to make some headway. It doesn't matter where I am, there are always three little things that can be put away.
Okay, out of 10, how clean is your house today? Mine was 3 when I got up this morning, but it is edging towards 4 already. Woot.
(If you have a family member who helps with the cleaning, show off your bragging rights!)
Best wishes everyone
Good morning from a Sunny WAI hope the sun is shining where you are today too!
@crashdummy wishing you a burst of energy and motivation to get you through the doldrums. Pinterest is always good for browsing and saving ideas for the good energy days.
@Dot I’m looking forward to hearing more about Miso and the new princess on the block. I hope they will become best friends!
@Glimmer hopefully you got out to enjoy some of the finer weather.
If I squint my eyes our house is about a 7 today. Hubby is a big help and we try to keep things in their place so that it’s at least surface tidy. Don’t look too closely though!
How is it going today?
@artist55 Hooray for Mr Artist! And your persistence.
(My home-messiness-meter has slipped back to 3, but I am not giving up!)
So glad you had sun yesterday, as I gather there is wild weather in southern WA today.
I am trying to improve my self-messiness-metre today too. I will even try to henna my hair (it is much overdue). Wish me luck.
Sending good wishes to everyone that your little goals today (survival, making healthy food, resting as needed etc) are passed triumphantly. Olympic medal for you!
Okay, messometer is now at 1, but I have the whole day ahead. I have a horrible feeling it is possible to go into negative figures (started the day by spilling water all over the floor and including on Miso the cat's dried food in her bowl. As if I didn't have enough cleaning up to do).
On the up side: there is actual sun outside! I am going out to look at it now.
