Late in the day. Are you wondering what the weather is like here today? Same as it ever was
Home help is a life saver, isn't it @Glimmer. A different home helper for me yesterday, but mask under the nose. Sigh. On the upside she did a brilliant job cleaning.
It is so hard re gardening
There was no garden when I moved to this flat, but I was able to have a couple of pots by the front door (on the expanse of white stones). And over the years it has grown to the point where everyone comments (nicely) on it, and it provides my herbs and greens (I'm talking a couple of metres square, or so). But there are times where I can't attend it, and I just have to see what has survived when my health improves enough to think about it again.

PEM today. Hmm, yes, as well as walking around the block I did a little plank to help my core muscles and then, oops, 10 minutes of yoga stretches that might have been ten minutes too much. Hoping it is only one day payback.
@Glimmer I hope you had a lovely time at the chiropractor's, and are feeling (comparatively) well for the weekend.
Who finds the weekend is just more days? It often is for me. And oops I'll need to go to the supermarket and it will be busier.
Life!
-
@Dot edit: Over exertion was yesterday if you didn't guess. Miso the cat and I are both curled up in front of the TV today.
-
I am working on my NDIS application! It's giving me so much anxiety. Just feeling really jittery and not sleeping well even though I'm exhausted - the dreaded "tired but wired".
-
Oh no @river Forms are the worst. Especially ones that your quality of life depends on. Sending lots of good wishes. I am heading out now, but I will light a candle when I get back. It might not be of material use, but it's shining flame is my good wishes lending you understanding of those dastardly questions and the excellent power of finding the right words for the answers.
(This is presuming you didn't get finished yesterday, or do you actually have super powers?)I am off to celebrate the easing of covid restrictions with a visit to my granddaughters (4 and 6yo) and, if they let me, a nice catch up with my daughter too.
Best wishes everyone, do you have something to do today?
-
@river Hang in there @river .... it is so daunting having to go through the documentation towards bettering our lives, whether it be diagnosis, NDIS, Centrelink, and all the other regular life administration forms and papers required to get the support needed. I am eligible to access NDIS but haven't yet initiated the process... the task seems so overwhelming. I can relate to the anxiousness. My hope for you is that you get through it all and receive the support ....

Good morning,
Nearly got the kitchen tidy. Woot! And I have seen a bit of sun peeping through the window.
That pesky PEM has settled now I think, so now I am faced with the Sunday task of 'how much I can do without over doing it?'.
Cheers for your Sunday tasks.
Enjoy those tiny pleasures that (hopefully) come along. -
@Dot I hope you have managed to rest up and do something special this Sunday. I managed to finish a tiny little painting until the nausea set in so now I feel justified in being a couch potato until the family come round later with our baby grandson
-
Good morning,
How is everyone today? It is SO cold that Miso the cat is staying inside. Unheard of.
A slow morning, I've already got at least 8 contenders for the Brain Fog Bloopers thread.
And I am trying to work out if I managed not to overdo it yesterday with those little tasks. I might need a coffee before I decide.@artist55 Ooh you really are an artist! What kind of little paintings do you do?
Are you an art teacher?
And what a delight to have a baby grandson.
I do hope your resting up meant that you could enjoy the visit.
You'll be off to work now, maybe, sending good wishes for an easy day.Ok, I am off to have that coffee and see how I turn out once it has done its magic.
-
@Dot good morning dot.
Happy Winter solstice to everyone
-
@iris Good to know that the days will start to get longer! Roll on Spring.
-
@Dot Yes, I am an art teacher in a primary school and I paint realistic oil portraits whenever I can dredge up the energy!
I hope today has been a good day for you.
-
Good morning,
It was a lovely Winter Solstice day yesterday, thanks @iris
And it is meant to be sunny again today... but no sign yet.@Glimmer I have a jonquil open in my garden, Spring must be on her way.
@artist55 I know how much energy primary school students take up. And so frustrating, because it is a wonderful job when you are fit and well. (Well, apart from all the other frustrating things
).
Your art sounds wonderful, I am so glad you were able to do some on the weekend.
I'm quite slow this morning, so I'm off to do my 'just three things' to see if that makes headway.
Cheers all, I hope there is something nice in your day.
-
I did some gardening and even tidying my room today which I'm so pleased about as I very rarely have the energy! Plants looking a lot neater...
-
@river That’s great! Hope tomorrow is another good day.
-
Good morning everyone,
How is your day today?@river I do hope you got the balance just right with those lovely, lovely activities yesterday.
I'm hoping to head out and visit an opshop today. I love opshopping and finding the best bargains, but I do need to be well enough to have a good wander around. I think I am.
Sending best wishes, especially to anyone who is particularly crook.
-
@Dot Hope you’re able to go op shopping and find some good bargains!
-
@Glimmer Thankyou so much
Great haul! Summer sandals, perfect fit, all leather, contoured sole, burnt orange, unworn. Summer dress, cotton and linen, my style. 100% silk summer top. (Can you tell I love natural fibres?) All I have to do now is wait for summer.
Also Emma Wiggle pyjamas for my yellow loving granddaughter (excellent condition) and a recipe book: one pot and casseroles (my ME/CFS favourite cooking).
I did zip through three opshops so resting now! -
I'm groggy (3 opshops are too many?) but there is a bit of sun.
I'm thinking of all us ME/CFSers assessing how our symptoms are today, calculating what we can do, pacing to see if we can get the important things done, organising the things that can give us rest and pleasure.
Sending out good wishes that today will be a (comparatively) good day.
What is your day like?
-
@Dot Sorry the op shopping may have taken its toll, but it sounds like it was worth it.
I’ve woken up feeling very under par, probably still recovering from a hairdresser’s appointment on Tuesday. So I may manage a shower and organise meals, but I think it’s a day on my bed.
