@Dot After a little shower it’s crispy and sunny over this side too☀️Enjoy your visit with the little one. I hope she sleeps soundly and you are both rested.

@Dot I have always enjoyed cleaning and rearranging things in the home (weird creature that I am😂) Sadly the home has been a bit neglected in the past 9 months and it’s been more of a “Lick and a promise” as my Nana would’ve said!

Ooh @artist55 what a nice attribute to have, but then ME/CFS evens us out. Sigh.

I managed one line yesterday because I was juggling with my dear granddaughter and the failure of the overnight training. She was awake soon after 4 am and even though I was philosophical that she might not sleep through, the physical response has been that it has taken years off my life. omg I am wrecked.

But step my tiny step I am making my way out.
Hooray that you got a tortoise day @Glimmer mine is drip on the end of an icicle in a cold cold cave.
Although I am managing to write this, so maybe it is a slightly warmer cave.
@crashdummy it must be that lovely bit of sun coming in. Bliss.

See you one the other side.
                  Special good wishes to everyone.

@Dot Very sorry to hear that your granddaughter’s visit has taken its toll. A very big thorn indeed. Rest up (no choice really) and give yourself some healing time. Best wishes.

@Dot so sorry to hear you are feeling unwell 🤒 and that the sleep experiment didn’t go to plan. I hope things look up for you soon!

@Dot Oh, I feel your energy drain ...but 5 stars for the hard effort to be active in your granddaughters life ... children are hard enough to look after even when you're well, let alone juggling it whilst living with ME; at sometime the energy drain will kick in...hope you aren't out of action for too long... but then again, maybe a good stint to fuel up is in order... 🤓

Hi everyone, I had a rather pleasant day ...I spent the afternoon trying to fix a somewhat mop of hair that needing cutting. The nearest hairdresser is too far and I don't have the energy to go through the whole process. I woke up and thought this is beyond a bad hair day....so I cut it myself. I was ruthless and cut it up to shoulder length, gave it some whispy bits and a box dye. Voila! the new me... it turned out ok and it certainly feels better ... I don't care what others think about it; it make me feel good ... at least the greys are at bay for now. Bolster your self esteem is how I felt today and I may just continue with some other beauty treatments over the week. PS. I learnt to cut my own hair several years back out of desperation to maintain some dignity: it was trial and error but I eventually got the hang of it. Hope you all have a great evening ...💃

@crashdummy How wonderful to be able to do your own hair! Well done👏🏻 I’m glad you are feeling better now that you’re all glammed up 💕
It has been a quiet day here in WA pottering around in the studio. I managed a tiny painting, not as big as I would have liked, but for now I’m happy to have done something constructive.
I hope @Dot is feeling better too 🥰

@artist55 Sounds like a pleasant day as well ... I was once given a tiny landscape that was painted with nail polish enamels on top of a tiny tin. It is amazing and the detail is extraordinary.. I've heard of people painting tiny works of art onto sewing needles! how they do this, escapes me: incredible but true ... glad you had a constructive day ... hooray for achievement ... another bolster to self esteem that keeps us sane and proud in our fight against the beastly ME from gaining a stronghold.

                                Hello beautiful people,
I'm feeling a lot better but a visitor on Sunday accidentally went home with my computer glasses (old glasses that just suit the distance I sit from the computer screen). So I am peering through my reading glasses. You will notice I am working a bit slower? Haha 😄

Thankyou so much for the good wishes ❤
                                And the five stars. ⭐

@crashdummy Woot the haircut and the colour! How great to get that job done.
I think this must be a picture of you: https://thedaintysquid.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/IMG_7357.jpg Green obviously, to match your little avatar circle.

@artist55 So glad you are able to have some quiet time. I'm thinking this is your last week of school holidays. I hope every day is restorative. Hooray to have been able to paint.

I had my appt with the Exercise Physiologist yesterday. She was great. I will write more on the 'breathing' thread.

Nice to be back here 🙂 Sending my very best wishes to everyone for today.

Good morning from a windy and stormy WA! I’m glad you are picking up a bit @Dot and that you found an exercise physiologist to help you.

Yesterday I was lucky to get a cancellation appointment with an endocrinologist who read through my many test results and told me I have all the symptoms of me/cfs but we first have to rule out depression. I don’t feel depressed at all but I in an effort to get to the bottom of this I am now trying to get an appointment with a psychologist.

Round and round the merry-go-round! 😂😂

@Dot I'm green with envy at that hairdo... but in my neck of the woods, brown is the new black ... I'm afraid my hair doesn't look as bouncy and healthy as that but I rather fancy the idea of my avatar being just as you perceived it to be. Why not? ... Heehee ... 🤓

Hi @artist55 very dizzying to be on the merry-go-round. There is an article you might find helpful from Health Rising
                                        https://www.healthrising.org/blog/2014/04/26/prove-doctor-youve-got-chronic-fatigue-syndrome-mecfs-just-depressed/
Thankfully there is also updated clinical guidelines for health professionals that outline the criteria to differentiate between depression and ME/CFS as well as secondary depression related to living with a chronic illness. Can be extremely challenging to be your own advocate in these situations but would only take a psychologist a few minutes to look up the criteria if they are unfamiliar with ME/CFS.

Hang in there @artist55 ... it is trying and arduous going through medical processes ... so sorry you are on this merry go round but sounds like the endocrinologist report is a huge step forward in understanding what is going on ... when I got off the medical merry go round, I ended up in a dodgem car (hence crashdummy) ... I spent many years being told the wrong information on how to live with ME and I would have crashes that required hospitalisation and complete body shutdowns. The more tests you can have the better; I found my medical file is so important and needed for managing and living with ME. You will get through this process; keep the momentum and keep every document/report/copy/note/appointment date/ doctor/specialist list/journal/diary entry/photo/ xray/etc ,anything related to your medical journey.... in good chronological order... it will help you now and into the future ... now I'm gabbling on, when I just wanted to wish you all the best with this journey ... 🌸

@gretch thank you very much for the article! If and when I do finally get a psych appointment (waiting lists until Nov!!) I will take a print out with me. It’s all a bit overwhelming for my porridge brain atm so I’ve decided to ‘ostrich’ until tomorrow.🪶
