@coco Wishing you so much luck and ease
I often get 'nearly a migraine' and just a few actual migraines (they arrived after I got ME/CFS after me being the only person in my family that had not had migraines). But I do know it is very common for migraines to pair with crashes and some poor people struggle with constant migraines.
I do hope you are lucky this time and the migraine is fleeting. I hope you are able to be still and quiet until it is better. Best wishes.

@Dot I use a variety of mobility aids including a wheelchair so steps are non negotiable for me. I can walk a little way and manage a couple of steps, but I can't climb stairs and I have to be able to get my wheelchair into the building! Starting to think I got really lucky with my last home that it was fully accessible.
-
@river Oops I should have remembered you use a wheelchair! Hope you find a wonderful place with lots of character and completely renovated to be completely accessible!

Crash time for me
YayPushed too hard 24hrs agoβ¦
Although Didnt think i pushed thaat hard at the time.Anyone get βblessedβ with migraines on the way down?
Wish me luck fellow troopersβ¦
yeah I have had a migraine for more than 24 hours that eases with pain killers for maybe 1 hour and then goes back up again. So a small reprieve every few hours which is something.

Belated hello from me
Survival has been the main focus lately.
Yesterday the hearse came to collect the dearly departed neighbour - 4 weeks after he passed. @Dot it turns out the ice van was where theyβve been keeping him during the wake/vigil. There has been a loud party every night for 4 weeks - last night it ended at 2 a.m.
The whole family is exhausted. We even tried camping out in the family room at the back of the house but we could still hear the noise. The upside is that Iβve had some company in my fatigue symptoms
Letβs hope it will end soon.
Sending best wishes- glittery snail trails and all.

Good morning,
it was a wild windy night here,
I hope others in the path of it are okay, and still have the power on.
Still wild! But not howling like it was a couple of hours ago.@coco, @sapphire777 I do hope you have woken up this morning with your migraine gone. Do you get that sort of brain shadow that lingers afterwards?
I really hope today is easier@artist, I almost suggested a couple of times that maybe the departed relative's body might be in the ice van, but decided it was inappropriate and maybe too macabre. But no!
Ah well, there is likely to be some peace and quiet now, and I do hope you and Mr Artist can rest and recover in that beautiful silence.Yes
focussing on survival is the most important thing until the end of the year. Everything else goes on hold.
I wish you got our Melbourne cup long weekend! It is a 4 day one. Maybe just don't go in on Monday and Tuesday? And some more gold medals to everyone for getting through another ME/CFS day
I got through yesterday surprisingly well. I morphed from a snail into a gardener and swept up leaves, planted spaghetti squash seeds for my sister, and spread some compost. I even had enough energy to get the dishwasher full and on before bed! That is extraordinarily rare.
But ooh, today will be slower.I've started with a good breakfast (always a bonus if I get a serve of veggies with my breakfast as I aim for 7 serves a day) and now I am off to get another coffee and I will come back and see if anyone else is sitting here with a coffee too.
-
Well the panadeine forte got rid of the migraine plus with the vertigo meds I feel some sort of normal. I feel depressed though today. I can't do anything around the house and it's driving me mad. I'm just having one of those days

that's great Dot, amazing work
-
Congratulations on achieving so many things @Dot . But now I need to use my teacher voice and say, βSit down please, young Dot and donβt move from your seat again!β
β
Happily we got a decent nightβs sleep last night as it was all quiet in the neighbourhood.
Lots of cars arrived so not sure tonight will be as quietβ¦
Also, I managed to almost finish the portrait- only a few finishing touches to go. So joining you in a virtual coffee to celebrate
I hope everyone is able to collect a few beautiful moments today for the memory bank π₯°

Good morning everyone,
Thanks @artist55 My own teacher voice was also counselling me and I did have an easy day (and no extra energy for anything so this morning I have a kitchen to clean up!).
But this morning I got myself dressed and walked maskless through the sweet sun to the big op shop round the corner. (Masked and QR'd) I was first in! The bowls I wanted were still there from pre lockdown, plus I scored 3 light tshirts (2 linen and one cotton), and two other tops, and a jug to replace one I broke. Then back home through the sun. I'm a happy Dot!I'm having a cuppa at the computer and then I will lie down!
Did you manage to get another peaceful night?
Hooray for being able to work on the portrait. What a treat.Sending best wishes to everyone that today holds some precious times
-
@Dot What a great morning youβve had.
Iβm hoping to get outside and rescue a couple of pots that were blown over in the strong wind yesterday, and Iβll probably find they need watering too. And then that will be it for today. Phew, I feel exhausted just talking about it. Whereβs that magic wand when we need it.
-
@Dot thank you i appreciate the support
Feeling a bit better but still crap
Kind of in a crappy place atm because mentally feeling really motivated and wanting momentum but body says Β΄no!β
Blah!
Happy last day of october everybody.
Stay spooky
-
Good morning,
After I posted yesterday I realised I needed to simultaneously lie down and tidy the kitchen. Very tricky. I did about 50% each and it just about got me through.
@Glimmer Ha yes, a magic wand. Wouldn't that be lovely. Or maybe staff! A handy gardener, as well as a cleaner, secretary and cook.
I hope the pot plants survived their knock, and settled back in with a good water.@coco Ooh I know that feeling. Before ME/CFS I had the idea I was quite a lazy, laid back person, but it turns out I was a 'doer' and achiever and ME/CFS is so frustrating. It should be called the Chronic Frustration Syndrome!
I do hope a bit of body energy comes along to match your mental energy.Cheers to all you frustrated acheivers, you got through another day so that is the most important acheivement.
Special wishes to you @sapphire777And just incase you've missed my invite, everyone, there is a virtual Halloween party happening today. See the thread https://community.emerge.org.au/topic/560/halloween-all-day-me-cfs-friendly-extravaganza
If you have even the tiniest bit of energy to spare do pop in and comment, it will make it so much more fun for everyone.I'll be adding things there throughout the day. Enjoy.
(Check out what I am offering for breakfast!)Last day of October, where did it go?
Best wishes
-
@Dot Lol
Chronic frustration syndrome
Love it -
@Dot thank you... there has been no running since last time thank goodness, and I think I've recovered okay.
-
@Rainbow-Zebra Hooray! That good puppy deserves a pat, and you deserve a cheer!
-
Good morning,
Sitting here with a lovely cup of tea.Sending best wishes to everyone.
@artist55 really hoping you have been able to take a sick day, but if you are at school, teaching, I do hope the kids are delightful and the day goes easily.
@sapphire777 hoping you got another sleep in today and a then a few big cuppas to rehydrate yourself, and that today is a gem.
I so appreciated you making the time to join in with the Halloween party and send us to Count Dracula's castle. And everyone else who joined in! Even virtual parties take some effort and concentration.
I think everyone got a piece of the wonderful cake, a spooky drink and, ofcourse, an eyeball in their soup bowl. Thanks so much everyone for making it fun.ciao
-
Hi @Dot! Hope you enjoyed your cup of tea
Thanks again for the Halloween party and all your organising
Now I know how to post photos haha... I've been watching this Willy Wagtail in its nest that it built on the clothesline. Didn't go so well in the storm last week but since it's been sunny they are back and chirping away!
-
@emsarah Lovely. Good she survived the storm and is back on the nest.
-
I'm glad too @Glimmer! I was sure she wouldn't come back but here she is. It seems like a very exposed spot but maybe she likes the view?
